Kristin Fisher has joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. In her position as the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she has to cover everything ranging from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the rise and development in space travel. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space. She has also worked as an White House reporter for FOX News that covers the Biden and Trump Administrations' positions on space issues. As she covered the two presidential impeachment cases and the presidential campaign for 2020, and the two administrations' attempts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus Kristin also covered a variety of other topics. The president of the time Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Before joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for corporate clients including Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She is married to her husband and their two children in Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
